The Clovis High baseball team will visit top-seeded La Cueva in a best-of-three first-round series in the Class 5A state tournament.
Clovis (12-14), seeded 16th, will take on the Bears (23-3) at 4 p.m. Friday and at 11 a.m. and, if necessary, 1 p.m. Saturday.
The winner advances to a quarterfinal game at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rio Rancho High School against either eighth-seeded Santa Fe High or No. 9 Rio Grande.
