Nine recent area high school graduates are in Silver City this week preparing for Saturday’s Class 1A-2A All-Star football game.

Five members of the Class 2A runnerup Texico Wolverines — Casey Crist, Ryan Morgan, Courtland Luscombe, Jesse Walthers and Niko Ulibarri — and four members of the Class 1A champion Fort Sumner Foxes — Jacob West, Derrick Terrell, Cass Dimitroff and Brett Cortese — will play for the North team.

Kickoff is at 5 p.m. at Ben Altimirano Stadium on the Western New Mexico University

campus.

The South holds a 10-5 lead in the series. The North won last year’s game 7-0.
