Texico tops Lady Rams in golf

Sophomore Erin Scanlan shot 40-42 — 82 to lead Texico past the Portales Lady Rams 385-399 Monday at Portales Country Club.
Senior Holly Harrison shot a 90 for the Lady Wolverines, while other Texico scores included Kristen Beltran 106, Allison Myers 107, Dionna McWhorter 111, Megan Long 117 and Shay Anderson 144.
Eighth-grader Paige Hartman topped the Lady Rams, shooting 50-43 — 93. Other PHS tallies included Tyler Rowley 100, Kelsey Prince 102, Gabby Espinosa 104, J.C. Pullen 128 and Katie Massey 157.
Clovis Christian’s Lauren Douma also participated in the event, shooting 42-46 — 88.
