Goddard beats Lady Rams
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Portales girls tennis team fell to Goddard on Tuesday. Freshman Kim Spotswood had to forfeit after falling down during her match. Portales coach Sara Bulls said she was fine later on after the matches. Coach Bulls is hoping Spotswood will be good to go for Thursday’s match with Lovington.
“The team played harder than they played last time against Goddard,” Bulls said. “I was very proud of them. I’m sure if we played as hard as we did today the score against Ruidoso would definitely been different.”
Portales only win against Ruidoso was a doubles match with Megan Combs and Sabrina Montoya defeated a team of Tanner Wapaha and Casey Thompson 6-3, 6-4.
Portales boys results were unavailable at press time.
