Muleshoe's Atwood, Elizalde Class 2A all-state first-teamers

Two Muleshoe Mules were named to the Texas Sports Writers Association Class 2A all-state football team.
Junior Shawn Atwood was selected as an offensive guard and senior Saul Elizalde was selected as a kick returner. Elizalde was also a third-team selection at wide receiver and defensive back.
Junior center Ryan Johnson and senior linebacker Issac Baca were second-team selections for the Mules, who finished the season 12-2 and reached the state semifinals.
